I’m a bilingual immigrant psychotherapist. I’m the fusion of nationalities. My mom is Mexican, my dad is Ecuatorian, I was born in the Dominican Republic, I grow up in Venezuela, I studied in Spain, I´ve been in Africa and Asia, and now I’m living in the United States with my 3 kids.
Young enough I understood how different we are, how to accept those differences, and ways to adapt myself to be respectful of others’ cultures. Being able to learn and integrate all these experiences was not an easy task but has taught me how to appreciate and adapt to new cultures and different ways of being and relating with others.
I am an eternal student. I believe in the infinite potential of human beings, and am endlessly intrigued by the human mind and its capacity for consciousness, awareness, change, adaptability, and connectedness. To me, the brain is the single most fascinating phenomenon ever to be observed.
After receiving my Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi, I obtained a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Houston – Clear Lake. I am currently an LMFT-Associate working in the spheres of both private practice and non-profit therapy.
Currently a student of marriage and family therapy, I have a degree in psychology and sociology. My experience working with incoming refugees in need has taught me the importance of learning from other cultures and building my own.
As a result of culture, we are offered a wide range of options in terms of diversity and variety. Engaging with other cultures and learning from them is something I enjoy
